The Nation’s biggest public sector bank SBI (State Bank of India) has announced its SBI WhatsApp service in India. Through this service, a customer can check the balance and get the mini account statement on the WhatsApp mobile application. In this article, I will explain how to activate SBI WhatsApp service and what are the features of this service.
On 19th July 2022, the SBI has announced its WhatsApp service availability through a tweet. The tweet says “The bank tweeted, “your bank is now on WhatsApp”, customers can know their account balance and check mini statements on the go.”
How to activate SBI WhatsApp Service?
To activate the SBI WhatsApp service, you need to be a saving account holder with SBI bank. The process of activating WhatsApp banking you need to follow the below steps.
- From your registered mobile no. type :”WAREG” and “Your account no”
- Make sure there is a space between the text and your account no.
- Send the SMS on 7208933148
- In few minutes, you will get a message in your WhatsApp application.
- Just reply with “Hi” to avail the services.
- Save the SBI WhatsApp number in your phone book.
Activation process for SBI Credit Card customers.
- Credit card holders can send the text “OPTIN” to 9004022022 from the WhatsApp application.
- The customer can give a missed call to 08080945040
- SBI Card Mobile App: Login to Mobile App, click on ‘WhatsApp Connect’ in the main Menu to subscribe to WhatsApp
- SBI Card Website: Click here, login and subscribe.
- Ask ILA: Click here , login and subscribe.
- SMS: Message WAOPTIN XXXX to 5676791, where XXXX is the last 4 digits of your card number.
